Sexual Exploitation Children online & Travel & in Tourism

Project Goal:

The Goal of the project is to create awareness of the Communality People & the Local Government Organization & the Civil Society about sexual exploitation of children on travel & in tourism & online. Protect children from sexual exploitation & Enable community people & civil society to establish child Rights.

Objectives:

• The overall objective of the project is to protect children from online sexual exploitation and in travel and tourism, visualizing the issue at national and international level through research, advocacy, and awareness. It aims to create online protection for children and introduce child safeguards in travel and tourism.

• Empowers the children and mobilizes families and communities to prevent children from abuses and exploitation.

Roles and Responsibility :  Project Coordinator

• Oversee all project activities and be the main contact point for the donor and the field staff

• Ensure project activities comply with the policies and regulations of the donor organization.

• Responsible for overseeing the development and execution of project deliverables, lead project planning, budgeting, action plans, and monitoring processes.

• Responsible for submitting activity reports, meeting minutes, and financial reports regularly to the donor.

• Oversee the preparation and submission of annual activity-based project budgets as well as monthly and quarterly financial reports and sending of new funding requests.

• Lead and motivate the project team and monitor project activities and project expenditure and coordinate work with consultants and volunteers in the project

• Employs resourcefulness in project design, implementation, and monitoring. Troubleshoots project problems. Identifies and implements creative solutions.

• Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality

• Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.

• Regular Filed visit need to the project area, monitoring project activities & share findings & take positive action.

• Undertake any other decision in consultation with the Executive Director;

Project Location: Satkhira, Bangladesh  

Major Activities:

• Workshop with children.

• Workshop with parents.

• Dialogue sessions with CSOs, youth and adolescent and private sector representatives on safe internet services.

• Round table session with Dist/ City Corporation /Upazila level GO/NGOs on child-friendly internet services.

• Lobby with the Government to adopt the CoC

• Advocacy with the school management committee to take sessions on the safe internet use of children using the handbook.

• Submission of memorandum to incorporate the issues on safe internet use in the curriculum at the secondary level to DC/UNO/DEO(District Education Officer)

• Develop IEC materials on safe internet

• Raise voice on the issue of sexual harassment through the meeting, campaigns and advocacy Initiatives

• Capacity building of community members to organize awareness-raising campaign in the working areas

• Introduce dialogue sessions between community members with local government.

• Establish Network between child rights defenders among the service provider (GO/NGO) to take immediate steps.

• Annual learning and sharing experience workshop with Community people & Child Rights Defender Forum.
